Codemasters has confirmed it will be porting Dirt 3 over to Steamworks ahead of the impending death of Games for Windows Live.
Answering a fan query on Twitter, the developer said the change will likely be made sometime in the New Year.
Codemasters hasn’t made any comment regarding other games in its back-catalogue utilising Microsoft’s much-derided DRM service.
Games for Windows Live will close for good on July 1, 2014. We’re not yet sure if Microsoft will launch a replacement, perhaps tying in with Xbox Live.
Most affected titles are being ported to Steamworks, Valve’s much more popular DRM solution.
Thanks, PCGamesN.
