NBA 2K14 video shows off dynamic player animations crafted with Eco-Motion Engine

By Stephany Nunneley

NBA 2K14 has a new video available, showing off the title’s Eco-Motion Engine which brings to life crowd reactions, atmosphere, coaching strategies, real player voices, and dynamic player animations.

Player personalities and emotions factor into the game affecting how the players will perform and behave on the court in a fluid nature. This means players will adjust their movements based on the environment around them: jumpshots will change midair, dribble moves will alter in between dribbles, and players will land in unique ways following a dunk or block.

No two animations will ever appear exactly the same, according to 2K.

Check out the video below.

NBA 2K14 is out now on current-gen consoles and PC, and will release alongside PS4 and Xbox One later this month.
