Super Mario Bros. 3 coming to 3DS, Wii U eShop

By Brenna Hillier

Super Mario Bros. 3, the NES classic often cited as the best of the early Mario games, is on its way to the Nintendo eShop for 3DS and Wii U. The much-requested platformer was quietly added to Nintendo of America’s website over the weekend, heralding a Virtual Console launch, but no release date was provided. Super Mario Bros. 3 launched in the west in 1990 and introduced several soon-to-be iconic features like the Tanooki Suit.
