By Stephany Nunneley

EverQuest and EverQuest 2 players have a quite a bit to look forward to starting today with EQ’s Call of the Forsaken: Hate Rising update.

According to Massively, which gently prodded the developers for information, Hate Rising ties into the Call of the Forsaken stroyline and comes with new missions and new gear. Heroic Adventures have also been scaled down to level 85.

In February, new collections, achievements, and quests will be added for the Erollisi celebration and all UI rewards gained “from Leadership AAs” will be granted to one and all.

During March, players can celebrate the 15th anniversary of the game and try out the newest race and class combinations voted on by the community and developers. This means you can create a Beastlord, Froglok Monk or Wood Elf, character.

Players will also be able to access level 85 Heroic Characters, and the Planes of Power zone will go live.

For EveryQuest 2 players, three new dungeons, a new raid, and a new heroic contested zone have been added to Kingdom of Sky. Items dropped will be the equivalent to those found in the Tears Of Veeshan expansion.

PvP will updated with a new Warzone on the Nagafan server and on down the line, players will be able to own and decorate “Oakmyst and Darklight prestige homes.” A new High Keep contested zone, a new raid zone in North Temple of Veeshan, and Achievements for collections are in the works as well as a new AA level cap of 350.

While there wasn’t any new information provided regarding EverQuest Next or Landmark, the developers reiterated that the Alpha for the later was “around the corner” and that attendees of Community Day at the end of the month will get a chance to try the demo.
