The next Batman title from Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady could be announced as early as next week, according to rumors swirling about the Internet.
A shot of a Batman banner which is to be hung in GameStop stores on March 3 has lead to speculation on the matter. An employee who asked Kotaku not to mention their name, also said a poster called “Zeppelin” will be put out and it’s tied into the other Batman materials.
Rocksteady also held a press-junket recently according to a Dutch journalist, with the contents of said junket embargoed until March.
If it’s going to be announced in a stealthy manner, it’s possible, as Kotaku points out, that Game Informer (owned by GameStop) could reveal it as the next issue cover sometime next week. It always announced its covers the first week of the month.
A GameStop employee also sent Kotaku a shot of the inventory database, and notes “Available SKU” for release in October which is when Batman games from Warner have released in the past. It could be any October slated game though, really.
The way it’s looking, we’ll just have to wait until Monday or sometime early next week to find out more.
Then again, it could be for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition which was recently announced for PC and consoles.
