The Codemasters Humble Weekly Sale has raised over $1 million so far.
“Bully for Codemasters,” you may exclaim, but also bully for SpecialEffect, the publisher’s chosen charity, which works to make games accessible to people with disabilities.
Humble Bundle has not revealed details of how much has been channeled to SpecialEffect – users can nominate their own percentages – but at the average purchase price of $5.16, the default split grants $1.03 to the charity with every purchase. At 194,4520 purchases and counting, that’s a hefty chunk of change for a very good cause.
The Codemasters Humble Weekly Bundle is available for only a couple more days; get on board. A PC-only affair, the pack contains Steam keys for Overlord, Overlord: Raising Hell DLC, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and Rise of the Argonauts, with DiRT Showdown, DiRT 3 and Overlord 2 available for those who pay more than $6.
Codemasters is at least the third mainstream publisher to host a major Humble Bundle sale. THQ managed to stave off bankruptcy a little longer thanks to the scheme, and EA raised a huge amount of money for charity by refusing any proceeds from its own bundle.
