Dungeon Keeper original is free in GOG Valentine’s sale weekend

By Dave Cook

Dungeon Keeper has been causing a bit of a stir recently due to EA’s microtansaction-heavy remake, a game which I thoroughly slated in my recent opinion blog. It’s a horrid example of sheer exploitation and dirty tricks in the freemium circuit.

But don’t fret, because Lionhead’s original Dungeon Keeper Gold – which includes its expansion – is free this weekend GOG.com and it’s also ten times better. Dungeon Keeper 2 is also in the sale, and you can grab it for just $1.49.

Eurogamer adds that the sale includes 29 games that are discounted by as much at 90%.

They’ve flagged up the rather generous Dungeons & Dragons bundle, which includes the following games for $21.10:

  • Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2
  • Icewind Dale 1 and 2
  • Planescape: Torment
  • Neverwinter Nights
  • Temple of Elemental Evil
  • Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard

Cripes!
