Xbox One rumours were ten-a-penny last week, thanks to an anonymous tipster who is apparently now being pursued legally by Microsoft. One such claim was that the company is preparing to unveil a new, cheaper Xbox One model or price-cut on the existing model. Chief of Staff Aaron Greenberg has debunked the rumours.
Our own trusted source has confirmed the existence of a new, cheaper Xbox One model for 2014, but Greenberg has since doused the rumours on Twitter:
@TheAnchormanV No, you cannot believe everything you read on the internet..

Michael Pachter also called the concept “dumb, dumb, dumb.”
The same tipster that started the rumour also unveiled the existence of Forza Horizon 2 for September 2014, Crackdown 3 for 2016 and Halo 2: Anniversary for November 11.
Microsoft’s Phil Spencer had this to say about the leaks:
@xUNIFIEDx No comments on all the posts obviously but is kind of a bummer. Gets people worked up over things that we didn't say.
