Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek has announced a new DLC pack titled, Mars’ Chosen Pack. The DLC is part of the game’s season pass and will bring with it a new co-op survival game mode.
The news comes from an interview with Crytek on Xbox Wire, in which producer Justin Robey details the pack contents and explains the new game mode.
The pack will feature four new maps, a character skin and the aforementioned survival mode. One of the maps even include an ancient Egyptian setting. It’s free for the owners of the game’s season pass, and will run you $8.99 otherwise.
The mode pits two players cooperatively against waves of barbarians, only allowing them to gain health by killing and executing enemies.
In addition to the new content, Microsoft will be offering the game on sale starting tomorrow until February 24, for $40. Other DLC pieces will also be offered on sale between February 25 and February 27.
