This week’s PlayStation Store update is pretty chockers, with plenty of demos, DLC, and a surprisingly hefty amount of PS3 and Vita games.
There’s a pile of new PS3 games on offer this week. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 is out now, and Ubisoft has re-released the original Far Cry as Far Cry Classic. Skullgirls Encore, the rebranded independent release of the 2D fighter, is now available, and there’s something called Zombeer. Finally, a new version of The Last of Us comes with all DLC.
The Vita has a similar avalanche of new games. TxK is a tube shooter, Fort Defense is a piratical tower defence effort, and Doodle God and Doodle Devil are available in a bundle.
More substantially, there’s the completely mental and alarmingly attractive Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, as well as Tecmo Koei’s Toukiden: The Age of Demons.
Blowout joins the ranks of PS2 Classics, while Pac-Man World 20th Anniversary and import title Wolf Fang are now available as PSOne Classics.
If you’re not keen on spending this week, there are demos for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Far Cry Classic, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath HD, SkullGirls Encore and Toki Tori.
Sony has released a Headset Companion App for PS4 allowing you quickly enable various modes for different kinds of games.
PlayStation Plus subscribers score a free copy of PayDay 2 and various discounts.
To DLC now: check out new content for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Blacklight: Retribution, Borderlands 2, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Just Dance 2014, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, Pinball Arcade, Rocksmith 2014, Saints Row 4, Skullgirls Encore, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Karting, LittleBigPlanet Vita and Zen Pinball 2.
