Bear Simulator: “It’s like a mini Skyrim but you’re a bear”

Bear Simulator. You are a bear. You explore, hunt, eat, beat up lesser beings, and increase your stats. I’m really not sure what else you could possibly need.

In the video below you’ll see a bear toddling around on its hind legs with front paws extended; this won’t be the case in the finished game, as you’ll only stand when the situation calls for it, lumbering on four legs most of the time as nature intended.

The finished game will feature a melee fighting system, a realistic but imaginary wilderness setting populated by “a variety of different living things”, “a catastrophic amount of secrets” (about 30% of the game), events, mountain goats, unlockable abilities, animal friends and customisation.

“It’s like a mini Skyrim but you’re a bear,” developer Farjay Studios wrote on the game’s Kickstarter page. It’s looking for a comparatively modest $29,000 on and is already well on the way with most of its month remaining. There are various rewards available, and multiplayer is possible if enough funds are raised.

When you finish throwing your money wildly at Bear Simulator, perhaps you’d care to take a look at Goat Simulator also.

Thanks, PCGamer.
