Hand of Fate, the crowdfunded rogue-like combining a card game with an RPG, is the latest indie to commit to PlayStation platforms.
According to the PlayStation Blog, it’s coming to both PS4 and Vita in addition to previously announced platforms Mac and PC.
Hand of Fate plays out as a tabletop card game, but switches to a full 3D battle mode during encounters. A rogue-like RPG, players can tailor their experience using equipment, but deck building only gets you so far, as the Dealer controls what order the cards fall in.
Its core development team, Defiant Development, is a crew of board game, RPG and rogue-like enthuiasts, and has bolstered its ranks with some high-profile guest talent including David Goldfarb, Rob Cunningham and Ian Livingstone.
No release date beyond “soon” is available at present.
