Nintendo has said there are over 50 games coming to Wii U developed using the Unity engine, and another 17 which are set to be released within the next two months.
Speaking with Siliconera during GDC, the firm’s senior manager of marketing at NoA’s licensing department said there were nine games using the engine on display at the San Francisco event.
“Over the course of this show, we have nine games on display,” said Damon Baker. “We have 17 that are currently in the pipeline, that have been submitted. So they will all be out within the next two months.
“And then, we have another fifty that are waiting in the wings, that are coming; so we’ve got a lot of Unity content on the way.”
As we reported yesterday, Nintendo is also looking into implementing Unity support on 3DS, according to Baker.
