Publisher Square Enix has confirmed that the AMD Mantle update for their stealth actioner Thief, will be released March 18.
Along with the patch, the developer will be implementing support for the promised TrueAudio, making Thief the first game to support this feature.
TrueAudio is an AMD exclusive technology that utilises compute power in the graphics card to offload some audio effects from the CPU, leaving room for the games to utilise the CPU for other tasks.
Thief is not the first game to receive a Mantle update. Earlier this year Battlefield 4 received its own Mantle update.
Mantle is a new graphics API developed by AMD, which aims to give game developers better low-level access to the hardware capabilities of modern graphics cards.
