Table Top Racing hails from a group of Wipeout series veterans, so it’s strangely fitting that it’s coming home to Vita.
The former SCE Studio Liverpool staffers at Playrise Digital have teamed up with indie publisher Ripstone to deliver the racer to Vita in northern spring.
The handheld launch follows a successful debut on mobile, where it has been downloaded 3.7 million times.
The Vita version of Table Top Racing isn’t a straight port – it has a brand new accelerator and brake controls, high detail graphics, more responsive handling, and rear touch pad controls.
The core game boasts four player online multiplayer, global leaderboards, eight tracks, 17 upgradeable cars, six gameplay modes, nine power ups and over 30 special events.
Pricing and firm release date informaiton is coming soon, Ripstone said.
