Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be large, but it won’t be on the same size scale as Borderlands 2, according to Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford.
Speaking in an interview with PC Gamer, Pitchford said the game “might be as big, or a little bigger, than Borderlands 1.”
“It’s pretty big. I don’t think it’s going to be as big as Borderlands 2,” he said. “It might be kind of in between the two,” as the teams are “still getting a grasp on scope” of it.
Pitchford also said the game “should be priced correctly,” meaning 2K will price it fairly with current market value.
“As far as price point goes, I don’t think that’s set in stone yet,” he said. “It should be priced correctly, so we’ll have to see what happens in the market and understand the actual total value proposition that’s being offered. But I’m the developer. The guys at 2K will figure that out.”
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was announced as being in development with 2K Australia last week, and is set for a fall release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
