Call of Duty will be an event at the ESPN’s X Games this year

ESPN’s extreme sports-oriented Olympics, the X Games, will feature a Call of Duty Ghosts tournament in Austin this year. The Games will go on June 6-8, and eight Call of Duty teams will be invited — the top 3 from the Call of Duty world championship in LA last month and the top 5 in the MLG point standings.

This CoD tourney will sadly not be broadcast on ESPN, but rather through the usual MLG channels like MLG.tv, the MLG app and over Xbox Live. And if you’re in Austin and want to attend, a three-day X Games pass is $90, and dropping another $100 will get you a “3-Day Major League Gaming Premium Upgrade” with reserved seating, some swag and meet-and-greets with the teams. I do recommend going, if you can — eSports is more fun with a big group to watch with, I think.
