EA is rumored to be close to signing a deal with Comcast, which would find the games streamed through X1 – Comcast’s OS which supports voice commands and Internet applications.

Time Warner Cable and Comcast are set to merge, providing the deal’s approval by the Federal Trade Commission, and if approved, EA would have access to Comcast’s 22 million users as well as those earned through the Time Warner acquisition.

The EA deal would also make purchasing a video games through the service as “easy as ordering a movie on pay-per-view.”
