Following yesterday’s round-up of the cheapest places to buy a PS4 in the UK and US, here’s how to get an Xbox One at the best price.

Before we get going, you need to remind yourself of a few things. Most importantly, buying a new solus Xbox One pack with Kinect is probably a bit silly. Microsoft gave Titanfall away for free in a bundle, so you can almost always find a pack with the game for the same price as the standalone console. You can get a secondhand box from Grainger Games for about £330, however, so if you found some cheap secondhand games that’d probably be the cheapest way of doing it.

Also bear in mind that the console without Kinect is coming out on June 9 in both the UK and US. There’s hardly any bundling going on with the Kinect-less version at the moment, but the pack with Kinect is already going out of stock in places. You should watch for bargains as the camera bundles run out.

Because of the Titanfall bundle, you shouldn’t really be looking at buying an Xbox One by itself. So we put the bundles first (we put the standalone PS4’s first yesterday).

Best bundles (UK)

  • CHEAPEST CONSOLE WITH A GAME: GAME – The cheapest way we can find of getting a new Xbox One with a game is GAME’s Kinectless Xbox One console with Call of Duty: Ghosts bundle for £369.99. If you pay an extra £10, you can get FIFA 14, Forza 5, Battlefield 4 or LEGO Marvel Superheroes instead. GAME’s doing a lot of bundling on Xbox One at the moment, seemingly more so that any other major retailer. The Titanfall bundle, Kinect included, is £389.99, but you can add Battlefield 4 to the same pack for £409.99. If you’re looking for something more comprehensive with Kinect, you can get the sensor, the Xbox One console, Call of Duty: Ghosts, the Wolfenstein special edition, Titanfall, Ryse, and Man of Steel and Wolverine Blu-rays for £439.99. There are bundles there with the Kinect-less console, too.
