Watch Dogs server issues are affecting season pass content unlocks

Ubisoft’s servers look like they aren’t able to keep up with the Watch Dogs hype. Earlier, we reported that users were experiencing log in issues with Uplay on PC. Games were failing to download properly and crashing, and according to the publisher, Uplay’s servers haven’t been able to keep up with the demand.

Apparently, the Uplay connectivity problems are causing a boatload of other issues too. Besides affecting online play, users using the CtOS mobile app have been unable to log in. Players are also now reporting content unlock issues in regards to season passes. These reports are splashed across the Ubisoft, Sony, GameFAQs, and IGN forums.

“I bought watchdogs and got the season pass last night at midnight i came home put in my preorder codes the Palace pack downloaded fine from my Gamestop Preorder. When i went to put in my season pass it worked and it downloaded the 1.1mb to acknowlage that i had bought the dlc but i havn’t been able to download any of the DLC that is supposed to be with it! Anyone else having this problem? or know how to fix it D:?” reads one of the Sony forum posts.

“Just trying to gather whether it’s a widespread problem or not… Cheers,” states another post on the Ubisoft forums.

It seems like most of the unlock issues have to do with the PlayStation 4. The Watch Dogs season pass includes a new single player story in the role of T-Bone, a digital trip mode, and new missions and outfits, including the Untouchables pack.

Hopefully, as server issues begin sorting themselves out, PlayStation 4 Watch Dog players will finally get the content unlocks they paid for.
