You will know the Wasteland 2 release date before the month is over

By Sherif Saed

Wasteland 2 developer inXile Entertainment, has posted an update to the RPG’s Kickstarter backers outlining the state of the beta and promised a release date before the end of the month.

The update was posted on the game’s Kickstarter page and in it, inXile said that it’s nearing the end of its three-month plan, which was devised as the last hooray before the RPG is complete. The developer is now focusing on addressing bugs, that means that most content manpower will no longer be needed as its job is done, and will be moved to Torment: Tides of Numenera.

The developer is also working on finalizing the writing, that means minor tweaks to the script and the addition of some minor NPCs and encounters. The RPG is currently on Steam Early Access, with a release date expected before the end of the month.

Wasteland 2 is one of inXile Entertainment’s two major Kickstarter success stories, and its reception is sure to affect upcoming Kickstarter projects by other studios.

Thanks, Polygon.
