Watch Dogs sells less this week and still tops the charts

By Matt Martin

Watch Dogs is number one in the UK charts this week despite selling 18 per cent less copies than it did last week.

As the summer release drought continues, Watch Dogs replaces Sniper Elite 3 at the top. Rebellion’s bollock-shooter dropped to number two with 53% less sales.

Only Wolfenstein: The New Order, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 sold better than last week, putting them at 4, 6 and 10 in the charts, due to discounts and promotions.

In short: no one is buying any games because no games are being released. It’s a vicious circle.
