One of the PC’s most intense first-person shooters could be making the jump to PS4 and Xbox One.
Insurgency, released in January by New World Interactive, is a hardcore shooter with no crosshair and one-life gameplay, emphasising teamwork, co-op play and realistic weapon behaviour.
The PC version of the game is free to play this weekend and available to buy with a 50% discount. Discussing the evolution of the game in its latest update to the Steam Community, game director Jeremy Blum said:
“Although the game may be considered a ‘finished’ product, we are constantly evolving our vision and looking forward to growing in the years to come.
“We have ‘next-gen’ and console ambitions. Whether or not we stay on the same engine, we will see, but one thing we know is this is just the beginning.”
Not familiar with Insurgency? Check out the gameplay below. It’s definitely one to watch.
