Minecraft could come to Oculus Rift after all

By Sherif Saed

Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson said he’s now “over” being upset about the Facebook deal.

Back in March, Notch said that he had cancelled a Minecraft version that was in development for Oculus Rift, following Facebook’s $2 billion acquisition of Oculus. Notch said at the time the reason was that “Facebook creeps him out” and later penned a blog post to talk about his feelings in detail.

Fast-forward to now, Notch appears to have calmed down over the deal. “And about now I’m officially over being upset about Facebook buying Oculus. I’m upset about there being a hole in my favorite sock instead,” he said on his Twitter page.

Interestingly, John Carmack, who’s currently with Oculus, replied saying, “Say the word, ship the source, and i’ll make sure It runs well on you-know-what…”

Notch later added that developing an Oculus Rift version is up to the game’s development team.

Thanks, PCGamer.
