Bayonetta 2’s Nintendo Direct gave us the one thing we really wanted to know. Plus: new trailer.

We already knew this was the case for North America but it’s nice to have it confirmed for Europe.
Nintendo also showed off the online co-op mode, Tag Climax, which features six stages and multiple difficulty levels. Currency earned in this mode can be used in the single-player campaign, which will be handy if you need some new moves to meet the challenges presented by the notoriously tight Platinum action. Returning character Rodin will be playable; you don’t all have to play as Bayonetta.
Other details from the stream include word that Bayonetta 2 will feature a Star Fox costume – Fox McCloud – as well as the costumes previously announced for the Wii U port of the first Bayonetta game. That’s Link, Peach, Daisy and Samus, to remind you.
Why am I still talking? Here’s the new trailer.
Next up, take a look at the First Print Edition – the physical release bundling both Bayonetta games.
Finally, here’s the full Nintendo Direct presentation is below that, in case you missed it.
