Shroud of the Avatar only landed on Steam Greenlight two days ago, and it has already been approved thanks to Richard Garriott’s fans swarming the service en masse.
Those who backed the project have been able to play the various builds of the in-development title since last Christmas. Backers will gain full access to the game by the end of the year for testing. A date for Early Access should be announced soon.
The successfully crowdfunded RPG is slated for release during the first-half 2015 and the original budget for the game, $1.9 million, has swollen to $4.8 million thanks to continued backing.
