BlizzCon 2014 is the big ticket event this weekend, and if you missed out on the opening ceremony – or just want to watch it again – we’ve got you covered.
Blizzard kicked things off by announcing the final chapter to StarCraft 2, Legacy of the Void, before revealing the new expansion to Hearthstone, and the closed beta date for Heroes of the Storm.
The firm also announced its first new IP in 17 years: and online team shooter called Overwatch.
The only thing I can say I was disappointed in regarding the opening ceremony, is that once again, SVP Chris Metzen, didn’t scream “Are you ready to rock!?!”. His voice is just so metal, I keep expecting him to say it eventually. Maybe one day he will.
My silly whims aside, other goodies out of the event included a nice set of Warlords of Draenor screenshots for World of Warcraft along with news of the latest charity pet, Argi.
More news will be coming out of the even as it progresses over the weekend, and we’ll be sure post anything of interest.
