Other Ocean Interactive’s love letter to local multiplayer, #IDARB, is just a few months away.
#IDARB will launch on Xbox One in February, the developer has announced.
According to IGN, the eight-player game will be available free to Xbox Live Gold members through the Games with Gold scheme in February.
If you’ve not heard of #IDARB, here’s a brief crash course: it’s a 2D platformer where you design a sprite and get together with friends to play a strange new kind of eSport combining rules of meatspace ball games.
You’d think supporting eight players online or on the couch would be enough for #IDARB, but it isn’t. Spectators watching games through Twitch can also participate, using chat to change up matches by adding items or obstacles. This is a feature we’ve seen in very few games to date, and it’s a cool one.
