Sony celebrating PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary with discounts on classic titles

By Stephany Nunneley

Sony is celebrating its second decade in ways other than a PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition and PSone theme for your dashboard: it’s hosting a sale on classic titles.

220

Over on the EU PS Blog is a rather large list of games spanning almost the entire PlayStation era. The only console games not included on the list are PlayStation 4 releases.

Luckily, since all titles are digital offerings, you won’t have to dig your older consoles out of the closet to play them.

Here’s just a taste:

  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Final Fantasy 7
  • Final Fantasy 8
  • Tomb Raider
  • Tomb Raider 2
  • Rayman
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • MediEvil
  • Spyro The Dragon Trilogy
  • Metal Gear Solid

PS2

  • Medal of Honor European Assault
  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

PS3

  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Grand Theft Auto 5
  • Tomb Raider Digital Edition
  • Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 Bundle
  • Resident Evil Super Bundle
  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Assassin’s Creed 2
  • Rainbow Six Vegas
  • Splinter Cell Trilogy HD
  • Burnout Paradise Complete Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto 4
  • God of War Collection Volume 2
  • Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
  • ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Classics HD

PS Vita

  • Need for Speed Most Wanted
  • Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation
  • Everybody’s Golf

PSP: Ridge Racer

Again, the list is rather large, especially the PlayStation 3 portion of it, so you will want to head over to the PS Blog for the full thing. Also, some games have sales dates which differ from the others, so you will want to pay special attention to that as well.

We haven’t noticed a similar sale on the North American end just yet, but we’ll keep our eye on the US PS Blog.
