Sony’s PlayStation Network is offline for some players, leaving them unable to play or shop online.
Sony confirmed the problems this morning via Twitter.
We’re aware that some players are seeing drops on PSN. Engineers are on the case and investigating.

What’s new, eh? According to Sony’s support channels, the network is experiencing “heavy traffic”.
PSN went down over Christmas after a DDOS attack by Lizard Squad. When Sony finally got it back online, it promised a few extra days for PlayStation Plus subs and a 10 percent discount.
