The Assassin’s Creed Mega Bloks are for adults, now

These Assassin’s Creed toys have gone from being a way of expanding the brand to kids to something for adult collectors to enjoy, despite looking exactly the same.

Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft announced a licensing deal with Mega Bloks almost a year ago.

The agreement raised eyebrows, especially when a brand manager said that the toys would help expand the Assassin’s Creed’s brand to kids too young to play the game about murdering people.

It looks like Ubisoft has reconsidered that approach, as a post detailing the sets on the UbiBlog specifically states they’re intended for an older audience.

“These sets are designed with adult collectors in mind and boast an unprecedented level of sophisticated detail and articulation,” Ubisoft said.

Six sets have been announced, ranging in price from $10 for one character and some props all the way up to $50 for ship and several characters. Ezio, Arno and Edward are available, along with an anonymous Assassin you could probably pretend is Altair.

Thanks, Destructoid.
