The next content update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will “address a variety of issues across the game,” according to 343 Industries, including specific improvements to ranking.
New quit and betrayal penalties are also in the works as the development team prepares to roll out ranks to additional playlists.
According to 343, the latest update may have “normalized and improved matchmaking,” but it still plans to deliver additional updates to address the top community items and requests.
For the April content release, the plan is to update team sizes for select playlists. Last night, a playlist update for Combat Evolved was released, and it changed the team size from two-three players to strictly two players.
The development team will continue to monitor the playlist to ensure settings are “acting as intended,” and team sizes and player counts across existing and upcoming playlists will be updated based on “results and feedback.” This includes Team Doubles.
SWAT and Team Snipers will also return to the rotation in the future and playlist data will continue to be evaluated in order to “determine which playlists become permanent additions.”
A release for the April update was not provided, but more information was promised soon.
