Mortal Kombat X will punish those who drop out of online matches.

Ed Boon teased a new Mortal Kombat X “-ality” yesterday, and today the community Kast came through. The Quitality is a neat little touch to bring solace to the hearts of online players whose opponents quit: the offending party’s head will explode.

Elsewhere in the Kast, Netherrealm Studios revealed Mileena’s Ethereal (teleportation), Ravenous (biting attacks) and Piercing (projectiles, sai) variations.

Takeda also got a look in. He has Shirai Ryu (whip and spear moves, inspired by Scorpion), Lasher (electric whip and ranged attacks) and Ronan (dual plasma sword) variations.

Finally, we heard about Kung Jin’s Ancestral (bow), Bojutsu (bo) and Shaolin (chakram) variations.

NetherRealm also confirmed that test Your Luck mode is returning with up to seven random modifiers. These modifiers can be hand picked in Kustom Kombat mode, which is offline only. Speaking of game modes, there is no 2v2 mode.

One other nice reveal: PS3 arcade sticks will work with the PS4 version.

The full kast will likely be made available for replay tomorrow. As usual, GamesMediaHQ caught most of the action, so you can check it out now:
