Final Fantasy VII will see a release on the PlayStation 4 in Spring 2015.
Square Enix Producer Shinji Hashimoto made the announcement today during the PlayStation Experience 2014 keynote speech.
Much like the PC edition released a few years ago, this version of
Final Fantasy VII will include upscaled graphics for the new hardware.
It is important to note this is not an HD remake or version of the game.
