GameStop Italy may have let the release date for Rainbow Six Siege slip if a recent listing is accurate.
According to the listing, the game will release on October 16. While this could be a placeholder date, October 16 is a Friday in the UK, the usual day new releases land at retail.
The release date has since been changed to “To be determined” but not before Italian site Tell Me About Games took a screengrab.
Ubisoft has yet to announced a firm release date for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One title, but beta sign-ups recently went live for the tactical shooter.
Players, according to the description page will “live the siege” in that enemies will be able to “transform the environment around them in a stronghold.”
It was previously revealed enemies would use traps, fortifications and defense systems to try and thwart the Rainbow team.
The game is said to contain tactical maps, reconnaissance drones and a new system of descent with ropes, as well as more scheduling options, attacks and neutralization.
There will also be procedural deconstruction which was shown in the announcement video. Destruction can also be used as a weapon.
We’ll keep you up-to-date should any more information become available pertaining to the release date.
Thanks, Felice.
