Mortal Kombat X is now available for iOS mobile devices and is free-to-play.
It can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The game blends fighting and card collection and contains over 24 fighters in the initial roster such as: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kano, Raiden, Cassie Cage, D’Vorah and Kotal Kahn.
Players can collect upgradeable gear for their fighters and unlock finishing moves for Fatalities.
Daily events and online multiplayer battles are available now in the mobile game, with additional Challenge Mode characters coming soon.
The game also includes the Allies feature which allows the player to borrow a friend’s character as a fourth fighter in their battles.
When the console and PC versions of Mortal Kombat X launch, connectivity between platform versions will go live and introduce team-based Faction Wars. Players can also unlock special content between the mobile game and the standard versions by completing tasks and achievements.
Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the mobile game will be released “soon” on Google Play. The launch trailer is below.
Mortal Kombat X lands on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One April 14. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will release sometime this summer.
