Prison break game The Escapists is heading to PlayStation 4 from May 29

The Escapists, Mouldy Toof’s prison break game originally released as a timed console exclusive Xbox One, has a release date for PlayStation 4.

For those unfamiliar with the title, which is also a PC release, it tasks players’ time management skills as they do a bit of digging and crafting, and other prison-type stuff as they try to escape incarceration.

There are six different themed prisons, and in order to leave life behind bars in the dust, players will need to earn cash through prison job or by performing favor requests from fellow inmates. The cash can then be used to barter with traders for tools and crafting supplies.

Players can even acquire the separate Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary DLC should they wish to test their mettle against the island fortress.

The Escapists will arrive digitally on PS4 on June 2 in North America and on May 29 in Europe. It will run you $19.99/£14.99/€17.99 and the Alcatraz DLC will cost $2.99/£1.99/€2.49.
