Nintendo has announced it will stop production of the basic, 8GB Wii U in Japan.
According to the Nintendo website for the region, the 32GB version will continue to be sold.
Customers in Japan who wish to purchase a white version of the 32GB console, which is currently only available in black, can pick one up after it is released in June.
Nintendo hasn’t announced whether the 8GB console will be phased out in other regions, but the model hard to come by at retail the US unless customers wish to purchase a refurbished system.
Third-party sellers also have listings on Amazon and eBay.
Thanks, Nintendo Everything.
