Novigrad Dreaming takes The Witcher 3 players through a haunted house – and then through the shadows of a haunted mind.
The Witcher 3: Novigrad Dreaming
Novigrad Dreaming features a good old fashioned haunted house, and you must solve the mystery of what bedevils it.
Follow your waypoint to the old house, and go around and into the courtyard to talk to the owner. Repay his faith in you by stealing everything as you explore the wloer floor; don’t worry about the cellar yet.
When you’re ready, go up to the bedroom on the second floor to find Corinne and – something else?
Ascend to the attic via the ladder in the tiny room opposite the bed. Use Aard to open a path through the bookcase. Steal everything then loot the doll and the drawing of a crib before descending. Examine the painting, then place the doll in the cradle in the narrow room to one side of the bedroom on the second floor.
Examine the door behind you when prompted, then go down to the cellar and check out the oven. Having discovered the source of the haunting, you can decide how to deal with it; I elected to make an arrangement with the haunt. However you proceed, return to the second floor and speak with Corinne.
Outside, speak with the owner and decide whether to tell the truth or fib a bit. Later, if you find a message on a noticeboard about a haunted house, you can return here to se the outcome of your actions.
Head to the Golden Sturgeon to meet Corinne. You’ll find her upstairs in a side room. In the ensuing conversation, you can opt to tell Corinne everything, and learn a great deal about The Witcher backstory as you do so.
The cutscene ahead ends Novigrad Dreaming and begins Broken Flowers.
