A basic rule of any RPG – always help a weapons merchant in need.

The Witcher 3: Twisted Firestarter

Go to the forge opposite the noticeboard in the centre of the the village and you’ll meet Willis, the sarcastic, grumpy dwarf. He needs help tracking down whoever set his business alight.

Search behind the forge using your Witcher sense and you’ll find some footprints to follow, as well as the smell of piss and vodka. As you head down to the river and bridge you’ll find a chest to loot, and by the boat another clue.

Go under the bridge and on the other side you’ll find someone’s boots. Draw your sword here as you get pounced on by Drowners. Make sure you loot the bodies for a Drowner Brain – a handy addition to your alchemy purse. Once killed, continue to follow the footprints into the village and the building, where you’ll find Napp bleeding from his wounds.

He’ll try and bribe you, which you can take, but it’s better to use a sign on him for 25 EXP and escort him back to the dwarf for another 25 EXP. Back at the forge Willis with give you 20 coins and you’ll gain another 50 XP, as well as the promise of a good price on weapons and armour in the future.
