The exclusivity agreement Microsoft had with Activision on Call of Duty has been transferred to Sony.

For the first time in a long while, this year’s Microsoft E3 conference did not feature a Call of Duty demo. The Black Ops 3 demo took place during Sony’s conference instead.

Sony’s Andrew House took the stage to announce PlayStation as the “new home” for the Call of Duty series, but did not mention the 30-day DLC exclusivity verbatim, leading some to believe that this part of the agreement may not have carried over.

That is not the case, according to Sony’s Adam Boyes, who confirmed to Kotaku that the deal will have all DLC exclusive to PlayStation platforms for 30 days.

Xbox and PC owners will get all DLC 30 days later, Boyes added.

It will be interesting to see how MLG leagues and the Call of Duty Championships play out this year.
