Madden NFL 16 will include a fantasy football feature of sorts through a new mode dubbed Draft Champions, EA announced at E3 2015.
The mode allows players to create a new squad based on their favorite team in the NFl and participate in draft rounds.
As soon as the draft is over, players can take the new squad onto the field.
Draft Champions begins by picking from one of three coaches which will determine a team’s offensive and defensive playbooks, and define two default “Styles,” – one offensive and one defensive.
A base team is then generated, which is playable but relatively low-rated. There is a group of players that are available for base team rosters.
While OVR ratings are similar, there will be some variety in the types of players that show up. Over time, Draft Champion players realize which players should stay, and which should be upgraded.
The Squad can be upgraded, player positions can be changed, and more. EA Sports has more information through this blog post.
Madden NFL will be released on August 25.
