As the campaign for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night nears its end, Koji Igarashi decided to show us very early gameplay footage from a recent playtest.
The latest update to Igarashi’s Bloodstained Kickstarter campaign brought with it an insight into game development we don’t usually see.
IGA and his team have not shown any footage of the game running, until today. Part of a recent visit to developer Inti Creates resulted in this short video of IGA testing the combat and animation of the game and giving feedback as he goes.
Yes, it’s off-screen, and it’s mostly out of focus, but it’s the best we have when it comes to seeing the game running.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign is still going strong. So far, it has made $3,771,341, well ahead of its $500,000 goal, and with only three days left. The game will now be bigger and come to more platforms, thanks to extra cash.
