Games community pays respect to Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata

By Matt Martin

After the sad passing of Satoru Iwata, many games companies, studios and developers have paid their respect to Nintendo’s president.

Iwata passed away on July 11 due to a bile duct growth, a health issue he has struggled with in the past.

The much-loved industry exec was respected not only for the way he steered a clear and determined path for Nintendo’s unique take on the games business, but also his willingness to embrace the fun and playfulness of video games.
