Nintendo TVii to be taken offline in August

By Stephany Nunneley

Wii U service Nintendo TVii will be shuttered next month, the firm has announced.

According to a post on Miiverse, the service will end on August 11 at 3pm PT/6pm ET. This means the TVii Miiverse community will also cease to exist.

“We sincerely thank you for all of your engagement within the community and the Nintendo TVii service. We look forward to your contributions within our many other Miiverse communities,” states the announcement.

Revealed in 2012, the service launched stateside in December 2013, but was delayed more than once in Europe before Nintendo scrapped plans to bring it to the region.

Thanks, Nintendo Everything.
