An officially licensed Universal Media Remote for PlayStation 4 will be made available in October.
Sony hasn’t announced the remote just yet, but Amazon and GameStop both have it listed for release on October 31 and October 15, respectively. We’re not sure why there is a date discrepancy, but it’s quite possible GameStop made a deal to sell it first.
Developed by Performance Designed Products (PDP), which manufactured the officially licensed PlayStation 3 Universal Remote, the device supports PS4 media playback via Bluetooth.
It allows users to control up to four devices: PS4, Set Top Box, TV, and Audio Receiver. It also features dedicated buttons for PS4 Home and Power.
Both Amazon and GameStop have the remote listed for $29.99.
Thanks, Gamespot
