Elite: Dangerous looks rather spiffy on Xbox One going by this gamescom 2015 trailer

By Stephany Nunneley

The latest gameplay footage of Elite: Dangerous for Xbox One was released out of gamescom 2015 today, and it doesn’t appear to look much different than the PC version, if we’re going by the trailer.

The Frontier Developments space game was announced back in March at GDC 2015 after a Elite: Deadly trademark popped up beforehand.

Set for release this summer, the Xbox One version will be the same game as being played now on PC.

“Elite: Dangerous on Xbox One will be the complete and authentic Elite: Dangerous experience,” said Frontier boss David Braben when it was announced. “It will not be “dumbed down”. We’ll be working with an all-new audience, but that doesn’t mean a change in direction for the game, and nor does it mean slowing development on the PC version.”

Enjoy the trailer.
