Final Fantasy 15 will not get an early release in Japan like previous entries. Everyone will receive it at the same time.
Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata confirmed to Gamespot in a new interview that Final Fantasy 15 will release worldwide simultaneously.
“This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we’ve done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch,” said Tabata.
“So we didn’t have the setup to deal with that, really. The first thing we had to do was rearrange our internal structure to create something that could do that. That was the first important work on the project.”
This is a big deal for fans of the series, who’ve previously had to wait months after a Final Fantasy game would release in Japan.
Tabata recently revealed that the game will release before 2017. Which of course means 2016, since it’s not coming out this year.
