A new Super Mario Maker overview video has been released by Nintendo, providing a summarization of key game features ahead of its September launch.

According to the press release, players can expect the following features:

New sound effects and music block customization: Create your own sound effects with some sounds even generating fun visuals. Shaking a classic Note Block during level creation, it becomes a Music Block. When something activates one of these Music Blocks, it will play a note based on its height, allowing players to arrange songs of all types.

Ease into creation – Start creating with a set number of tools to help you learn, then watch the number of tools at your disposal expand more and more every day you play.

Compatible with more than 50 amiibo – Many amiibo are compatible with Super Mario Maker, including classic figures like Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby. With the special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo, you can take on mustachioed enemies in levels using Big Mario.

The aforementioned 8-bit Mario amiibo will launch September 11 along with other recently announced amiibo and Super Mario Maker on Wii U.
