Remember the Steven Spielberg-produced Halo series Microsoft made a huge deal of two years ago? That’s still alive apparently.
Back when Microsoft was all about home entertainment, the company established a TV division that was supposed to work on a number of original TV shows for Xbox owners. One of these was a Halo TV series, which Steven Spielberg was producing.
Of course, now that this division is history, most of these shows were either canned or sold off to other networks – like Humans.
According to IGN, Showtime – which has been involved in the show’s production for a while – is in fact still developing it. The report adds that we’ll still be waiting a while to hear anything.
The only Halo show we got out of Microsoft recently was Nightfall, which apart from being terrible, set up the origin story for agent Locke, who would later become a Spartan on the hunt for Master Chief in the events of Halo 5: Guardians.
